Ft Defiance Smallbore Rifle Schedule for 2004

Long Range Conventional Smallbore Prone (200 yards)

    Sight in period begins at 8:00 AM (100 yd targets with 200 yd elev. provided).

    Record firing begins at 9:00 AM.

    Course of fire:

·         Target: A21 smallbore prone decimal.

·         Two strings with 30 minutes for unlimited sighters then 20 shots for record. 

·         Competitor will inform scorekeeper when sighters are complete.

·         Competitors will score and provide pit service.

    Sights: iron sights, or any sight, or split (iron and any).

    Dates:

·         May 23, 2004 (30 rd CMP Garand match to follow at 12:00 AM).

·         July 10, 2004 (30 rd CMP Garand match to follow at 12:00 AM).

·         September 26, 2004.

    Camping at the range is available.

    Lunch will not be served but is available in town.

   Match fee is $10.00.

Conventional Smallbore Prone 1600

    Matches are not NRA sanctioned.

    Firing begins at 9:00 AM

    Course of fire:

·         40 shots at 50 yards on A23/5 target

·         40 shots at 50 yards on A27/5 target (50 m reduced)

·         Dewar course: 20 shots at 50 yards A23/5 target and 20 shots at 100 yards A25 target.

·         40 shots at 100 yards A25 target.

    Sights: iron sights, or any sight, or split (iron and any).

    Dates:

·         June 13, 2004

·         August 28, 2004

·         October 16, 2004

    Backing targets will be used.

    Competitors will score.

    Camping at the range is available.

    Lunch will not be served but is available in town.

    Firing line is not covered.

   Match fee is $15.00.
